SUFFOKATE: 'No Mercy, No Forgiveness' Due In February

January 7, 2010

Oakland, California death metallers SUFFOKATE will release their new album, "No Mercy, No Forgiveness", on February 23 via Mediaskare Records.

Two songs from the CD, which was originally scheduled for release in November, are available for streaming on the band's MySpace page.

Commented guitarist Taylor Jones: "'No Mercy, No Forgiveness' is the next step in the progression of our sound. There are some very new and different things on this album that this band has never done before. Hopefully this will take us to the next level and allow us to stay on the road as that is what we do best."

SUFFOKATE has amassed a rabid and extremely loyal following since releasing the band's self-financed debut in 2004. Since then, the group has refined its lineup and sound to an amalgamation of angst-ridden hardcore, fused with a Bay Area thrash backbone. This is extreme, unapologetic metal that pulls no punches and goes straight for the jugular with a barrage of frenetic riffs and crushing grooves that will pummel you into oblivion.

Starting January 20, you can catch SUFFOKATE on the road nationwide as part of "The Small Town Shakedown" tour alongside THE GHOST INSIDE, FOR THE FALLEN DREAMS and YOUR DEMISE.
